Worthy Designers #1 : Dan Matutina

Here’s a new series I’m undertaking, Designer Worthy of attention through the exposure of some of their creations. This week it’s time for Dan Matutina.

The Idea

When you’re scouring for inspiration on the web you spend a lot of time digging through some very interesting art pieces created by various artists from around the world. Basically this series of posts will be an on-going process in which I’ll try to expose some of the most talented designers around. These posts will obviously be highly subjective and based off of my artistic sensitivity towards the artists featured. The point being is that I might be limited in my findings and do hope to receive suggestions on potential candidates from you guys.

Dan Matutina again?

That’s right! You may recognize this artist from the post I did a few weeks ago concerning one of his latest project “Versus Hearts”. The reason I’m starting out with this artist is, well, why not? I absolutely adore his unique style and in my opinion he had to be part of this series and the earlier the better.

The Man behind it All

Well here are his own words to briefly describe the man he is :

“I’m Dan Matutina, a designer and illustrator based in the Philippines. My illustration style is a mix of handmade & digital, clean & dirty, old & modern aesthetics. I love mixing colors with different textures & shapes to tell a story.”
